temporal data

Terms from Statistics for HCI: Making Sense of Quantitative Data

Data recorded over a period of time, where the time at which events occur is a critical part of the data. This can include very long-term phenomena such as the level of usage of a web site, shorter term such as the trace of user interactions while performing a task, or very fine scale such as some biological measurements. There are special statistical techniques for modelling time series data.
